Sandra was born in Union Parish, Louisiana on February 26, 1942 and passed away on March 27, 2025. She attended Neville High School before continuing her education at Northeast University, where she majored in English. Sandra was a woman of deep faith who lived her life with kindness, grace, and a heart devoted to Jesus which was reflected in the way she cared for others.
Sandra is preceded in death by her grandson, Ronald Conner Hance; parents, Willie Bert and D.A. Stancil and sisters, Diane Ballard and Sharon Stancil. She is also preceded in death by her beloved husband of forty-seven years, Ronald “Ronnie” Haile who passed away on March 24, 2011. While we mourn her loss, we find comfort knowing they are reunited once again.
Survivors include her three daughters: Kelly Haile, Robin Haile LaPietra and her husband, Jesse, and Terral Haile Anderson; grandsons: Taylor Hance and his wife, Sarah, Chandler Hance, Cole Hance, Zachary LaPietra, Payton LaPietra, Colton Anderson and his wife, Kiley, Trent Anderson, and Drew Anderson; granddaughter: Reagan LaPietra; great-granddaughters: Emerson Hance and Olivette Anderson; and great-grandsons: Forrest Anderson and Henson Hance.
Sandra, or 'Nannie', as her many grandchildren called her, cherished nothing more than time with her family. She was the heart of every gathering, always filling the room with love and laughter. She played an integral role in each of her grandchildren’s lives, instilling in them the values of love, togetherness, and tradition.
As the matriarch of her family, Sandra offered wisdom and kindness to all. She had a unique ability to make everyone feel valued and special and created lasting memories with each and every family member. Her faith and strength inspired all, and the love she gave will forever remain in the hearts of her family.
Pallbearers will be her eight grandsons, Taylor, Chandler, and Cole Hance; Zachary, and Payton LaPietra; and Colton, Trent, and Drew Anderson.
Donations may be made to Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home and St. Jude in lieu of flowers.
