Sandra "Dood" Staples Milstead

Graveside Services Celebrating the Life of Sandra “Dood” Staples Milstead, 76, of Calhoun, LA will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at the New Chapel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery Memorial Pavilion with Dr. Marty Black officiating under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
On May 30, 2020, Sandra “Dood” Staples Milstead passed away peacefully at her residence, surrounded by her family. Dood was born in Calhoun, LA on November 11, 1943 to Fred and Vivian Staples. She loved her family and friends and inherited her love of social gatherings from her parents, along with her sisters and brother. Dood loved holidays and fires on cold winter days. She loved listening to birds singing while enjoying her coffee each morning. She always placed her family before herself and was the finest wife and mother anyone could ever hope for. SHE LOVED.
Dood is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Betty Pearl Hale.
Survivors include her husband, Tommy Milstead; children, Becky Vidrine and husband, Buford; Andy Milstead and wife, Robin, and Kristi Milstead and significant other, Mike Watson; grandchildren, Meagan Rhodes and husband, Andy, Brittany Ray and husband, Kenny, and Dylan Milstead; great granddaughter, Amelia Milstead; sister, Dorothy Nolan; brother, Charles Staples and wife, Bobbie; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
