Funeral services celebrating the life of Sandra Jean Copeland Harrison, 66, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00 AM Friday June 10, 2016 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA with Deacon William Richard Nelson of Dallas officiating. Interment will be in Hall Cemetery in Richland Parish, LA.Sandy died June 6, 2016, at the Glenwood Regional Medical Center.Sandy was a member of Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Monroe, LA. She was the practice manager for Bayou Pathology, Inc. Sandy graduated from Rayville High School, Rayville, Louisiana, in 1967, and her Bachelors of Science Degree was awarded at Northeast Louisiana University in Monroe, Louisiana. She was a Master Gardner and enjoyed being in her yard tending to the flowers and plants. Family was most important to Sandy and she always had a shoulder to cry on or a laugh to spare. She was a true friend, a loving mother, and a wonderful sister. She was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Lee Roberts, and her parents, Maxie L. and Marion Viola Copeland of Rayville. She was immediately followed in death by her brother, Maxie L. “Butch” Copeland, Jr. on June 7, 2016, at St. Francis Medical Center. Survivors include her daughter, Jessica and son-in-law Robert Rodgers of Baton Rouge, LA; stepsons, Jason Harrison and Joel Harrison of Austin, TX; sister, Sherry Copeland Nelson and husband, Richard of Dallas, TX; sister-in-law, Denise Copeland of Rayville, LA. She is also survived by nieces, Brandee Nelson of Dallas, Heather Copeland of Rayville, Hilary Copeland of Sterlington and her son Holden, Melissa Newman and husband Jason of Dallas and Bonnie Graham Sapp. Other survivors include Grandniece, Chandler Copeland and her daughter, Adaleigh. Other survivors include numerous cousins from Texas, Louisiana and Tennessee. Pallbearers will be Robert Rodgers, Kevin Rodgers, Jason Newman, Bruce McCarley, Jimmy Gaiennie, and Joel Harrison.Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Thursday with a Vigil Service at 6:30 P.M. and Rosary following at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe.The family wishes to thank the physicians and nurses of the ICU at Glenwood Medical Center for the kind and continuous attention to Sandy and her family during her final days. We are also eternally grateful to Dr. Ron Hammett for his efforts above and beyond to help her during her long illness. Memorials may be made to Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Monroe, LA.
