Funeral Services for Samuel Reuben David, 79, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 1:00PM Wednesday, January 20, 2016 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with Fr. Lijo Thomas officiating. Interment will be held in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, Monroe.Mr. David was born on March 26, 1936 in Minden, LA and passed away after a brief illness on January 16, 2016 in Monroe, LA. He was a member of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church. In his earlier career, Mr. David was a DJ for various radio stations and the majority of his career was spent in sales most recently with Monroe Rubber and Gasket. He loved to play golf. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Jean David; children, Caroline Glynn and husband Bill, Melanie McHan and husband Mike, Blair David and wife Jennifer, Laura Clawson and husband Tom, Lisa Murphy and daughter Emily; 16 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.Pallbearers will be William Glynn, Matthew Glynn, Michael Stevenson, Ricky Curtis, Joseph David and Scott David.Visitation will be held from 4:00PM until 7:00PM Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with a Rosary to be held at 4:30PM.Online Registry/Condolences: www.mulhearnfuneralhome.com
