Samuel Thomas "Tommy" Hixon

Funeral service for Mr. Samuel Thomas “Tommy” Hixon, 66, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 10:00AM Wednesday December 21, 2022, at Swartz First Baptist Church with Rev. Jarret Fix officiating under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Monroe. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 7:00PM Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at Mulhearn Funeral Home.

Mr. Hixon was born on May 23, 1956, in Monroe and passed away on December 13, 2022, in Monroe. He was a member of Swartz First Baptist Church. Mr. Hixon worked in the water treatment industry for over 30 years and retired August 2022 from People’s Water Service.  He was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather, who had a wonderful heart and never met a stranger. Mr. Hixon was preceded in death by his first wife, Hazel Hixon; second wife, Geraldine Hixon; mother, Virginia Hixon; son Christopher Thomas Hixon; sister, Martha Covington; and brother-in-law, Dennis Smith.

Survivors include his children, Tonya Myers, Samuel Lance Hixon and wife Ginger; grandchildren, Dalton Myers and wife Lauren, Michelle Allen and husband Brian, Jillyan Hixon, and Kiley Hixon; father, Samuel C. Hixon; sisters, Pat Gulledge and husband Mike, Carol Smith, Barbara Andrews and husband Max; and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Dalton Myers, Ben Hixon, Mike Gulledge, Amanda McMahan, Lance Bucknor, and Michelle Allen, Paul david smith, and Tracy Smith.
