Sam Jr. Rubin

Visitation for Sam Rubin, Jr., 86, of Monroe will be held at Mulhearn Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at 5:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Sam passed away Monday, July 22nd at Oakwood Nursing Home in Mer Rouge. He owned and operated R&A Jewelers store for 60 years and was a member of Temple B’nai Israel. He was the ultimate sports fan.
Mr. Rubin was preceded in death by his wife, Eileen Rubin; parents, Estelle and Sam Rubin, Sr.; brother, Jack Rubin.
Survivors include his children, Dr. Mark Rubin, Barry and Nicolle Rubin; Lori and Dr. Allen Spires; niece, Terri and Jack Trammell; grandchildren, Allen Spires, Jr., Samuel Spires, Leslie Spires, George Spires, Joseph Spires, and Daley Miller.
The family wishes to extend their thanks to Oakwoods Nursing Home, Premier Hospice, and Alpha Care Nursing and Glenwood Hospital Physicians.
Memorials may be made to the Temple of B’nai Israel.
