A funeral mass celebrating the life of Salvador Christopher Pitarro, 81, of Monroe, LA will be 11:30 A.M. Saturday, April 7, 2018, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Monroe, LA with Rev. Paul Thunduparampil and Rev. Job Edathinatt officiating. Private interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoluem, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe, LA.
Mr. Pitarro died April 1, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital, surrounded by his loved ones.
Mr. Pitarro was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, where he served in multiple capacities for his church. For his many devoted years of service was a recipient of the Diocesan Distinguished Service Award. Sal was retired from the Monroe City School System maintenance department serving most of his years at Neville High School. He was an United States Air Force Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Frank, Sr. and Josephine Danna Pitarro; sisters, Annette Inzerella, Libby Fontana, Mary Ann Eaton; brothers, “Lil Ricky” Pitarro, and Charles Pitarro and wife, Mamie.
Survivors: Wife, Patricia R. Pitarro; Daughters, Carol P. Brantley, and Sandra Bennett; Step-daughter, Lesley Beckstrom (Mike); Grandchildren, Jacob Carlton and Christopher Bennett; Sister, Frances P. Conti; step-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 10:45 AM until service time at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to NE Louisiana Veteran’s Home or Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.
