Sallie Mae Guimbellot
March 18, 1923 — June 21, 2018
Services for Mrs. Sallie Mae Guimbellot, 95 of Winnsboro will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Oak Grove Baptist Church near Winnsboro, with Dr. Clovis Sturdivant and Bro. Mickey Gallup officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
Mrs. Guimbellot loved to read books, especially the Bible. She loved cooking, teaching the Bible to children and adults, and was the oldest member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, John A. Guimbellot, her parents, John Poston and Carrie Russell White, and 8 siblings.
Survivors include: 3 children, Claudine Slaughter and husband Newt of Winnsboro, Pete Guimbellot and wife Ruby of Winnsboro, and Susan Sturdivant and husband Clovis of Calhoun, 8 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers are: Landon Sturdivant, Michael Slaughter, Andy Slaughter, John A. Guimbellot, Kevin Fuller, and Tyler Wells.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. till time of service on Saturday, June 23rd at Oak Grove Baptist Church—Winnsboro, LA.
