Ruthie W. Hatfield

Funeral Services for Mrs. Ruthie W. Hatfield, 90, of Winnsboro, LA, will be 2:00 PM Thursday, October 17, 2024, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Winnsboro, with Rev. Doyle Adams officiating. Interment will follow at Coax Cemetery in Baskin.

 Mrs. Hatfield was born November 21, 1933, and passed away on October 14, 2024. She was a hardworking woman, who was once a paraprofessional and seamstress. Mrs. Hatfield loved gardening, bird watching, quilting, and painting. She was a loving mother, who took care of her family. Mrs. Hatfield enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Coax Baptist Church. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert Williamson and Linnie Dories Williamson; her husband, Paul D. Hatfield; and son, Weldon Hatfield.

Survivors include her five children, Annette H. Ghere and husband Don of Prairieville, LA, Cathy H. Taylor of Winnsboro, LA, Yvonne H. Blount of Winnsboro, LA, Steve A. Hatfield of Winnsboro, LA, Paul J. Hatfield of Winnsboro, LA; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Francis W. McCullough and husband Jack of Baskin, LA; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Pallbearers will be Paul “J.D.” Hatfield, Bart Ghere, Flint Bryan, Caleb Ghere, James Hatfield, and Conner Ghere. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jamie Renfrow and Micah Wollerson. 

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at Mulhearn Funeral Home Winnsboro.
