McNair FordMulhearn Funeral HomeSterlington Road, MonroeFuneral services for Ruth McNair Ford, 93, of Littleton, Colorado, formerly of Monroe, will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, June 30, 2015, in the Chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, with Pastor Warren Eckhardt officiating. Interment will be in the Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.Mrs. Ford passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2015. Mrs. Ford grew up in Baskin, graduated from Baskin High School and was active at Baskin Baptist Church. After marriage in 1942, she and her husband, who was in the U.S. Army, lived in many locations, including three years in Orleans, France. She was retired from the U.S. Civil Service where she was head of accounts payable in the Finance Office. She was a strong woman of faith with a servant’s heart who always put others before herself. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family deeply, and who was loved deeply by her family. Mrs. Ford was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Willard B Ford; her parents, Grover and Izetta McNair; brothers, James McNair and Billy McNair; and sisters, Katie Holstead, Pauline Wiggington and Mary Nell Coco. Survivors include son, Bob Ford and wife Becky; daughter, Carol Townsend and husband Joe; grandson, David Flerlage; granddaughters, Lisa Flerlage, Carolyn Ford, and Kate Ford; sister, Ruby Bagwell; sister-in-law, Mary Lou Christensen; and many nieces and nephews.Visitation will be Tuesday from 1:00 PM until service time at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.Online Registry/Condolences: www.mulhearnfuneralhome.com
