.Rufus “Pete”Rufus “Pete” DuncanFuneral services for Rufus “Pete” Duncan, 93, of Monroe, will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Lakeshore Baptist Church with Pastor William L. Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Duncan was a long time member of Lakeshore Baptist Church and a retired carpenter. Mr. Duncan died Thursday, April 21, 2016, at St Francis Medical Center Mr. Duncan is preceded in death by his parents Willie Richard Duncan and Clara Ophelia Gorton, his sister Shirley Thomason, and two brothers Douglas L. and Claude.Survivors include his brother Charles Duncan and wife Dorothy, two nieces, five nephews, and a host of friends.
