We lost the best wife, mom, grandma, and great-grandma anyone could have asked for but God gained an angel. We take comfort in knowing that she doesn’t have to suffer in pain anymore and that she is in heaven. Ruby Ainsworth was born May 19, 1950 to the late John Morris Motley and Myrtle C. Motley. She was born in Oak Grove and resided in Lake Providence growing up. Mrs. Ainsworth was always involved in all of her children’s, grandchildren’s and great grandchildren’s lives. She attended every ballet, baseball, softball, basketball, beauty pageant, awards day, band concert, graduation and much more even after diagnosed with cancer. She would have a chemo treatment and still sat at a softball game sick. She wanted to treasure every moment she had with her family. She always put herself last in life and put everyone else first. Even during her sickest time of her life, she sat endless hour’s sick in her daughter’s hospital room. That is how caring and unselfish she was in her life. She had a heart of gold and everyone knew that her door was always open. She had a love for everyone she met and it always showed in her actions. She would give her last dime to anyone who needed it and would do without herself. Ruby was always taking care of everyone even until her death. She always wanted to make life easier on everyone and it was very important that her family stood together no matter what.Ruby worked at National Optical for ten years, until she found the job she loved as a Special Education Aide at Central Elementary. She loved the children like they were her own. The children loved her too. The love she had for the children showed in everything she did. She was preceded in death by her parents John Morris Motley and Myrtle C. Motley. Left to treasure her memories are her Spouse of 47 years which she loved so much, James E. Ainsworth; Three children Malissa Pennington and husband Benny Pennington, of Downsville, LA, Patricia Young and husband Michael Young, of West Monroe, LA and Christopher Ainsworth, of Calhoun, LA; One very special granddaughter that she raised since she was 4 months old, Abby Ainsworth of Calhoun, LA; She was also blessed with ten grandchildren: Jake Pennington, Blake Pennington and wife Debb, Ashley Parks and husband Jordan, Cody Pennington, Nicholas Young, Matthew Young, Abby Ainsworth, Gabriel Rose, Lilly Ainsworth, and Zoey Ainsworth; Seven great-grandchildren Braylen Pennington, Anna Grace Pennington, Belicia Pennington, Loreali Pennington, Isaac Pennington, Payton Parks and Willow Parks; Two brother’s Bill Motley and wife Gloria Motley of Arkansas, Richard Motley and late Debbie Motley of Swartz ;and many special nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind a very special pet, Shiloh. She worried about him even when she was at the hospital very sick. She wanted to make sure she was given to a great home and taken care of properly. Ruby fought the fight until the very end. She never complained and took every chemo treatment, different trials, and radiation with a smile on her face. The Lord knew she was tired and took her home. We would like to thank everyone who sent cards and letters to our mom. It really brightened up her day. We will be forever grateful for the love you showed her.
