Funeral services for Ray Woodrow Plair, 94, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum with Rev. W. Richard Turnley officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park.
Mr. Plair died Monday, April 21, 2014, at St. Francis Hospital. He was an US Army veteran and served in World War II. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was and independent distributor for Borden Milk Company. Mr. Plair was also a member of Memorial United Methodist Church
Mr. Plair was preceded in death by Olive Washburn Plair, 3 brothers, Cecil, Harry, and Thomas Plair.
Survivors include his wife Helen Louise (Pat) Adams Plair, his daughter Betty Plair D’Albor Mooney and husband Ted, step daughter Helen Schubert and husband Tony, one grandson Jean Paul D’Albor and wife Jenny, one granddaughter Mary Amanda D’Albor, two great granddaughters Mathile A. D’Albor and Emmeline B. D’Albor, one step grandson Daniel Zane Schubert, and one step granddaughter Leigh Ann Schubert.
Visitation will be held at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Rd. Wednesday, April 23, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Memorials can be made to charity of donor’s choice.
