Funeral Services for Mr. Roy T, Gray, Jr, 85 of West Monroe will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday January 20, 2012 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe with Rev. Bill Foster and Dr. Jerry Edmondson officiating.  Graveside services will be held at 12:30 P.M. Friday January 20, 2012 at the Vicksburg City Cemetery in Vicksburg, MS.

Mr. Gray was born in Vicksburg, Mississippi on January 23, 1926 and passed away on January 18, 2012 in West Monroe, Louisiana.  He was a graduate of Carr Central High School, attended LSU and NLU.  Mr. Gray served in the Army Air Corps in WWII and the Korean War.  He worked as an engineering technician for 30 years at Ford Bacon and Davis and 5 years at Grand Gulf Nuclear Station. Mr. Gray was a 32nd degree mason and past member of Barak Shrine Temple, member of the American Legion and past member of the Monroe Auxiliary Police for 13 years and amateur radio operator since 1960.  He was a member of the Claiborne United Methodist Church in West Monroe.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years Mildred Gray; seven nephews and three nieces; many good friends especially Linda Allison, Gerald Brown, Gary Davis and George Strickland.

Honorary pallbearers will be George Strickland, Gary Davis, Claude Causey, Gerald Brown, Jerry Hollis, Leo Grayson, George Risdale, and Bob Martin.

Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until service time Friday at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe.
