Funeral Services for Mr. Roy Manley Bentley, 88, of Satsuma, AL, formerly of Monroe, LA, will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, January 7, 2020, at the Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, with Rev. Wesley Daniels officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe.
Mr. Roy was born June 13, 1931, and went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 1, 2020. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Bentley retired from Louisiana Machinery. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, and fishing. Mr. Bentley was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Lessie Walters Bentley; son, Alan Lee Bentley; infant sister; sisters, Dixie King, Maureen Nichols, Margaret Langford; brothers, Jimmy Bentley and Ernest Bentley.
Survivors include his son, Roy Wade Bentley (Janet); two grandsons, Brian Perez (Tommie Sue) and John Hestand (Heather); three great-grandchildren, Hogan Jean Hestand, Christian Perez, and Victor Perez; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be from 9:30-10:00 AM Tuesday, January 7, 2020, at the Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel.
Memorials may be made to the Northeast Louisiana War Veterans Home or the Wounded Warrior Project.
