A gathering of Family and Friends for Mr. Roy Eli Holloway, III., 76, of Monroe, LA will be held 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Monday, August 26, 2024, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe. A Prayer Service will begin at 11:00 AM Monday, August 26, 2024, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe lead by Fr. Joe Martina. 

Roy was born December 1, 1947, and passed away on August 20, 2024, after a sudden accident. He was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church. Roy was an independent oil and gas landman. He was a member of Bayou Desiard Country Club. His three loves were Golf, LSU Football, and his family. 

Roy was a graduate of Ouachita Parish High School and Northeast Louisiana Junior College where he played baseball. He was a 2003 Finalist US Senior Amateur Golf Tournament at Bel Air Country Club. He was also the 2008 Senior Club Champion at Bayou Desiard Country Club as well as a former New Orleans Amateur Champion.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Fred Endom; grandparents, Leon Osterland and Christine Endom Osterland; and his parents, Roy E Holloway II and Freddie Jean Endom Holloway Layne. 

He is survived by his son, Mark Todd Holloway (Rebecca); grandchildren, Chelsea Balbase (Deep), Parker Todd Holloway, and Victoria Mya Holloway; sisters, Christine Barham, Bette Holloway Maroney; brother, Rick Layne; nieces, Ellie Barham Latino (Matt), Margaret Barham Williams (Adam), Bess Howell Freyvogel (Michael); as well as his wife, Pam Albritton Holloway.

Honorary Pallbearers are Wally Rugg, Skeeter Boyd, Palmer Jarrell, Henry Cole, Buddy Fisher, Elvis Surles, Doug Farr, Stuart Causey, Fred Hooter, Joy Surles, and Doll Vines.

The family will not be receiving guests following the services to privately fellowship and grieve in this difficult time. 

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to the ULM Golf Program. Checks can be made payable to the ULM Athletic Foundation-Golf and sent to 308 Warhawk Way, Monroe, LA 71203 or visit www.ulm.edu/give and choose Golf with Roy E. Holloway in the memo line or online. 

The family would like to extend their deepest thanks to the Monroe Fire Department Engine #6 team for their quick response and help.
