Rose Marie Battaglia Dunn

Rose Marie Battaglia Dunn of Monroe, Louisiana passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2014 after a lengthy illness. She was 73 years old.She was preceded in death by her parents Sam and Nicki Battaglia and her childrens father, Ray Allen, Sr.She is survived by her son Ray Allen, Jr., wife Kim, their children Anzlee and Camden, and daughter Kathy Torres and her daughter Daniela. She is also survived by her brother Pete Battaglia, his children Pete and Pam, and their families, as well as close family friends, Linda Allen and Cori Crossley.Pallbearers will be Mike Brown, Ted Bailey, Brian Giger, Jayson Craft, Nathan Dispenza, and James Tedeton.Rose was an amazing mother, Mam- Maw, woman, and friend. She was a lifelong resident of Monroe and worked for 17 years at Rite Aid on Forsythe. She was a stranger to no one, and her outgoing personality was infectious and made her a friend to many!Rose touched the lives of so many in the community. A great absence will be felt by her passing, but family and friends will cherish the time spent with her and joyously celebrate the countless memories she helped create.The family would like to express our sincere gratitude towards Dr. Gammage, the staff at Oncology Associates, and the oncology nurses at St. Francis Medical Center for bringing a smile to her face and offering compassion, sympathy, and encouragement during an otherwise difficult time. You touched her life and made an impression on ours!Visitation will be held Saturday, August 16, 2014 from 5-7 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, August 17, 2014 at Mulhearn Funeral Home with interment to follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
