Ronald "Ronnie" Joel Riggin

Funeral services celebrating the life of Mr. Ronald Joel “Ronnie” Riggin, 75, of Calhoun, Louisiana will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe with Michael Mulhearn officiating. Interment will follow in Hasley Cemetery. The visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Friday at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe. 

Ronnie worked for State Farm for over 35 years and retired as a supervisor in the maintenance department. He was also on the Cat Team for State Farm; which means he set up temporary offices for State Farm after disasters. While working for State Farm he also worked in the Heat and Air business. Ronnie had a big heart; he did as many jobs for free as he did the ones for which he was paid. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and member of the Walker George Masonic Lodge. Ronnie loved spending time at the deer camp hunting with family and friends. His second hobby was following LSU Football, LSU Baseball, and talking about politics. Ronnie loved spending time with his children, especially his grandchildren, at the camp. 

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Pam Stokes Riggin; children, Laine McDougal (Reggie), Monica Frost (Bubba), Joey Riggin (Hannah), and Holly Gray (Mark); sister, Gloria Riggin; grandchildren, Kallan Mulhearn, Sarah Mulhearn Haines (Anthony), Reese McDougal Stuart (Tommy), Trey Frost, Tristen Frost, Lauren Milam (Matt), A.J. Holland, Ashlyn Riggin and Addie Grace Riggin; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

Pallbearers will be Reggie McDougal, Bubba Frost, D.R. Ryals, Mark Gray, Wayne Hammonds, and Donovan Bailey. 

Memorials may be sent to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital.
