Graveside services celebrating the life of Ronald Hollis Sanford, 76, of West Monroe, Louisiana will be held at 1:30 P.M., Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at the Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:30 P.M. to 12:30 P.M., Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.

Mr. Ronnie Sanford was a sergeant in the United States Army from 1967 to 1970. He served as a tunnel rat in Vietnam in the 25th “Tropic Lightning” Infantry. While serving, he received two purple hearts along with many other awards and medals. He loved his family and his grandkids. You could always see him sitting on the front porch waving at the cars going by.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Lee Sanford; and mother, Christine Fleming.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Wanda Gail Sanford; daughters, Missi Heisler (Heath) and Mandi Mills (Koby); sons, Richie Moore (Kim) and Tim Moore (Karen); grandchildren, Tim Moore, Jr. (Sara), Cody Moore, Casey Moore (Emily), Mallory Lee (Koby), Lindsey Moore, Beaux Heisler, Gracie Mills, Madi Mills, Jax Heisler, and Wyatt Mills; great grandchildren, Easton Moore, Olivia Moore, and Macy Lee; brother, Ricky Sanford; sister, Cynthia Underwood; along with a host of loved ones and friends.

Pallbearers will be Richie Moore, Tim Moore, Tim Moore, Jr., Cody Moore, Casey Moore, and Beaux Heisler.

The family would like to express thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Overton Veteran’s Hospital in Shreveport, Louisiana and at the St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, Louisiana.

Memorials in honor of Mr. Ronnie’s memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
