Ronald "Ronnie" Garland May, Sr.

Graveside Services for Ronald “Ronnie” Garland May, Sr., 83, of Farmerville, LA will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, December 3, 2020, in the Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, in Rayville, LA, with Rev. Art Beebe officiating under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.

Ronnie was born October 17, 1937 in Monroe, LA and passed from this life at his residence in Farmerville on November 28, 2020. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army and was stationed at headquarters in Frankfurt, Germany. Upon retiring, he worked as a salesman in advertising. Ronnie had many hobbies. One of them being in photography. He especially loved photographing birds! He also excelled in making many crafts out of paracord and copper wire. Ronnie enjoyed the outdoors as well and loved to hunt and fish in his spare time. He had a great love for Southern Gospel Music and had an extensive record collection of Southern Gospel Quartets. He also loved spending his time with his little Daushund, Baxter “Popa’s little pal”.

Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents, Garland and Lois Head May; and brothers, John R. “Bobby” May, and Dwight May.

Those left to cherish his memory are, his loving wife of 56 years, Joyce Beebe May; son, Ron May, Jr., and wife, Felicia; daughters, Lori May Field, and husband, Rick, Alicia May Cannon and husband, David; 6 grandchildren, Haley Moya, Lindsey May, Colt Cannon, and Wyatt, Whitley, and Walker Field; 4 great grandchildren, Jakob, Estella and Benjamin Moya, and Emma Cannon; brother, Ken May and wife, Alice; sister, Linda May McWaters; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

Pallbearers will be Ron May, Jr., David Cannon, LW Dennis, Keith May, Tim May, and Tyler Madison.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M., until 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, in West Monroe.
