Ronald J. George

Funeral Services Celebrating the Life of Ronald J. George, 79, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at the Walnut Grove Southern Methodist Church in West Monroe, LA with Rev. David Womack and Rev. Randy Ray officiating. Interment will follow in the Walnut Grove Church Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.

Mr. George was born on December 10, 1937 and passed away on December 24, 2016. He served in the United States Marine Corp for two years. He loved his church, and was very caring and passionate about his family. Mr. George was an avid hunter and fisherman. He served as a board member of the Pine Thicket Hunting Club for many years. Mr. George is preceded in death by his parents, Inice and Jim George; and his daughter, Debbie Hair.

Survivors include his wife, Johnnie George; son, Ricky George and wife, Linda; 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Roy Hatfield, Donald Hatfield, Roy Hatfield, Jr., Shannon Hobbs, Dennis McDaniel and Ken Russell.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Thomas Hudson, Elton Hatfield, Roger Hair and the members of the Pine Thicket Hunting Club.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at Walnut Grove Southern Methodist Church in West Monroe, LA.

Memorials may be made to the Walnut Grove Southern Methodist Church Building Fund.
