Ronnie was born February 28, 1948, and passed away on January 20, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was a member of WFR Church of Christ. Butch was a retired entrepreneur. He co-owned and operated Executive Business Products in Monroe for over 30years.
Spending time with family was one of the most important things to Butch, affectionately known as Papa to all his children and grandchildren. You could always find him out in the woods hunting, fishing, or camping with those he treasured most. Singing praises around the campfire and creating impromptu songs with family were also some of his favorite moments. Butch loved to travel with Sink and also shared that joy with his whole family, often planning trips to Alaska to enjoy with his kids and grandkids.
Ronnie’s most sincere passion was sharing his love and faith of Jesus Christ with all of his family, friends, and anyone new he met (because he never met a stranger)! Even through his illness, he never stopped praising God and singing of God’s faithfulness. Ronnie leaves to his family a legacy of love, trust, and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ that is unwavering, no matter the earthly trials or suffering.
Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents, D.D. Thrift and Claudia Parker Thrift; sister, Shirley Thrift Pesnell.
