Graveside services for Chef Anthony Miletello, 40, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, May 13, 2019, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, LA, with Rev. Ron Vollmer and Rev. Job Edathinatt officiating, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home.
Anthony and his mother, Renee died May 8, 2019.
He trained in New Orleans to be a Chef and brought his talents to the Monroe area serving at several restaurants.
Anthony was a loyal, dedicated, and loving father and friend. His spirit and lust for life through either food, music, the Saints, or his family was infectious and will be greatly missed, never forgotten. He was a man of many accomplishments. His most prideful was being a father and the other was sharing his love through food. He has been decorated time and time again during his career as a chef.
His awards and accomplishments include the following: his Community Involvement - 2014 March of Dimes culinary chair & lead chef for Signature Chef’s Gala; Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home Fall Food Round-Up; Donation and support for local high schools and after-school programs.
His Awards and Honors: Best Chef in Northeast Louisiana – 2013; Best Chef in Northeast Louisiana – 2014; James Beard Award Nominee – 2015; Best Tasting Dish, March of Dimes Signature Chef’s Gala – 2014; Best Overall Dish – 2008; Best Muffaletta – 2013; Best Dessert, March of Dimes Gala – 2014; Featured in Louisiana Kitchen & Culture online; Featured in The Delta Gentleman in Delta Style Magazine; Featured in The Delta Gentleman online; Featured in Tara’s Taste of the Town; Featured in Louisiana Cookin’ – October 2014; Featured in Louisiana Life – January/February 2015; Constant mention, Louisiana Culinary Trails; Featured in two cookbook endorsements, Donna Scalia McManus, Simon & Schuster; Numerous radio interviews; and Numerous appearances on Louisiana Living.
Survivors: Children, Jackson Samuel Miletello and Cadence Annabella Miletello; Father, Ronald Marion Miletello; Brothers, Joey Christopher Miletello, Jon Fouche Lolley and Justin Benjamine Lolley; Sister, Shonda Lewis; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends after the service Monday at 6500 Millhaven Rd. Monroe, LA from 3:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.
