Services for Mr. Roger Edward Beall, 77 of Winnsboro, LA will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 14, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Winnsboro with Bro. Craig Beeman officiating. Interment will follow in Crowville Masonic Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
Mr. Beall was a United States Army Veteran, stationed in Fort Knox, Kentucky, trumpet player in the 113th Army Band, Editor of Louisiana Farmer Magazine, cotton farmer, Beall Farms, Inc., political candidate for State Representative/Congress, active trumpet player, playing “Taps” at many veterans funerals across Northeast Louisiana. A Christian, and member of First Baptist Church in Winnsboro. He served as Vice-Commander 5th District Louisiana American Legion. He worked to see 5th District Louisiana American Legion become #1 District in Louisiana, and U.S. Active Veteran V.F.W, American Legion. Active 24-7 working with political leaders to reinstate FDR Glass Steagall Act to restore the U.S. Credit System for “We the people, Not They the Wall Street Bankers.” Held a BS degree in Agriculture from U.L.M. in Monroe, LA, enjoyed walking everyday on the great Winnsboro walking trail, to get out and about in the fresh air to meet interesting people. He was also elected to Louisiana Delegate American Agriculture Movement, working with U.S. Congress, House/Senate, and Louisiana State House/Senate.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil R. and Ruby Mae Hanson Beall.
Survivors include: Son, Edward Beall and wife Krystal Beall, sister, Sue Manning and husband James, grandchildren; Benjamin Beall, Dawn Albritton, Patience Collum, and Jillian Collum, and life-long friends, Vicki Pepper, Tammy Champlin Edwards, and Stacy Robinson.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 13th at Mulhearn Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
