Funeral Services Celebrating the Life of Roger Andrew Elkin, 72, of Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 1, 2018, at North Monroe Baptist Church in Monroe, LA with Rev. Warren Eckhardt officiating. Interment will follow in the Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, LA under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe, LA.

Mr. Elkin was born on June 1, 1945, and passed away on February 26, 2018.

Roger was a member of North Monroe Baptist Church. He was a retired Barber and owner of “The Sheik”, he served as Event Coordinator for Bountiful Catering, was a Real Estate Agent, and a former member of the Ouachita Parish Police Jury.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Anniebelle Elkin; brother, Carl Elkin; and his son, Robert W. Elkin.

Survivors include his wife, Gail Elkin; sons, Richard Elkin and Daughter-in-law Dani and Randy Elkin and Daughter-in-law, Mignon; daughter-in-law, Deborah Elkin; six grandchildren, Zachary, Katelyn, Zoe, Deuce, Myer and wife, Micayla and Myranda; brothers, Earl Elkin and Charlie Elkin and wife, Linda; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Thomas, Bubba Shaw, Kerry Gordy, Bobby Nelson, Myer Elkin, Deuce Elkin, and Zachary Elkin. Honorary Pallbearer will be Grady Williams.

Visitation will be held from 12:30 P.M. until Service Time on Thursday at North Monroe Baptist Church.
