Funeral services for Mr. Robert Ray Carroll, 83, of Monroe, will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, February 3, 2014, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church with Rev. Job Edathinatt officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Mr. Carroll died Friday, January 31, 2014, at the Louisiana War Veteran’s Home. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church and a U.S. Air Force veteran. He served during the Korean War and retired from service as a Master Sgt.
Mr. Carroll was preceded in death by his parents, Noah and Vera Sheppard Carroll.
Survivors include his wife, Joann Carroll; daughter, Katheryn Bowling and husband Dean; two grandchildren, John Devina, and Michelle Jeffery; three great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; brother, Gale Carroll; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be his nephews, Keith Taylor, Bruce Taylor, Josh Taylor, Jason Case, Bill Love, Tommy Hemphill, and Phillip Thigpen.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a Vigil Wake at 6:00 PM on Sunday, February 2, 2014, at the funeral home.
