Funeral Services Celebrating the Life of Robert M. “Bob” Duncan, 72, of Monroe, LA will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 11, 2017 at the First Baptist Church Sterlington, LA with Rev. Ben Hackler officiating. Interment will follow in the Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, LA under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Road Monroe, LA.
Mr. Duncan was born on September 30, 1944 and passed away on February 8, 2017. He was a member of the First Baptist Church Sterlington. He was a member of the 1961-62 Neville High School State Championship Football Team and attended LA Tech University on a football scholarship. Mr. Duncan served as President of the Monroe Jaycees and was a longtime coach with Monroe Youth Sports. He is preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Madeline Duncan and by his brother-in-law, William Monteleone, Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Diane Dyer Duncan; children, Brent Duncan and wife, Elizabeth of Mandeville, LA; Jeffrey Duncan and wife, Jana of Covington, LA; and Melanie Hammett and husband, David of Monroe, LA; Grandchildren, Ryan Duncan, Alec Duncan, Patrick Duncan, Kendall Duncan, Garrett Duncan, Grace Duncan, and Hailey Hammett; Sister, Denise Monteleone of Houston, Tx; sister-in-law, Gail Smith and his nephew, Will Monteleone.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Ryan, Alec, Patrick, and Garrett, along with Mike Causey and John Robinson.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until Service Time on Saturday at First Baptist Church Sterlington.
