Memorial services for Robert Lee “Robbie” Brown, 70, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 23, 2017, at First Baptist Church of Sterlington, LA, with Rev. Ricky Baker and Rev. Ben Hackler officiating, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

Robert was born in Monroe, LA, September 16, 1946, and passed away from this life to his heavenly home on Monday, March 20, 2017, surrounded by his wife and son, after a lengthy illness. Robert loved the outdoors and watching the birds and squirrels outside his window. He loved his family of dogs and would not get rid of one without adoption papers signed. He loved all his family and family get togethers and looked forward to being with everyone.

Robert was preceded in death by his daughter, Monica “Sissy” Brown Seymour; parents, Lorie M. Brown and Gilbert T. Brown; and by his father and mother in law, L.T. and Pearl Dupree.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Dorothy “Dot” Brown; son, Lee Brown; brother, Larry Brown and wife Donna; grandchildren, Bridgette Brown, Sierra Brown, Skye Brown; special grandson, Hunter A. Brown, who lived with them since his mother, Monica, passed away; and many nephews, nieces and cousins.

Visitation will be 1:00 PM until service time, Thursday, at the church.
