Funeral Services for Mr. Robert Keith Smith, 52, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 29, 2007 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA with Bro. Daniel Hall, Bro. J.W. Bunn and Ken Bunn officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun, LA.

Born December 8, 1955 in Monroe, LA, he was the son of Dot Smith and the late Robert Arthur Smith. Keith passed away at home surrounded by those he loved on December 26, 2007. A bricklayer and masonry superintendent for Mayfield Construction, Keith was proud of the many buildings he helped construct in this area, as well as the Houston, TX area and the Los Angeles, CA area. But he was most proud of the family he built- he lay a foundation of love that will never crack. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Smith.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Mickie Bunn-Smith; three sons, KaCee Bunn-Smith and fiancé Joane Turpin, Cody Smith and Keiton Smith; one daughter, Stacy Nicole Murphy; mother, Dot Smith; granddaughter, Bella; one brother, James Kevin Smith and wife Ginger; maternal grandmother, Ezraline Whittington; paternal grandmother, Lucille Smith; special cousin, Martha Robinson and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Scott Whittington, Bo Smith, Scott Russell, Bobby Leith, Kenneth Bunn and Rusty Sowell

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA

The family would like to thank Dr. Glenn Mills and the oncology staff at LSU, Dr. Eberling and the radiation staff at Glenwood Medical Center and Mary and Karol with Patience Choice Hospice for the care and compassion they provided.

Keith went above and beyond in his fight against cancer. He touched many lives and with every tear we cry, there will be a memory and with every memory we will smile, because that is the way he would have wanted it.
