Robert H. Holmes, Jr.

Funeral Services for Robert H. Holmes, Jr., 90, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 27, 2018, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Monroe, LA, with Rev. Job Edathinatt Scaria officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Monroe, LA.

Mr. Holmes was born May 29, 1928 and passed away November 23, 2018. He was a 3rd and 4th degree Knights of Columbus, and a Boy Scout Troop Leader for over 30 years. Mr. Holmes attended Jesus the Good Shepherd and Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Michael Tutterow; granddaughter, Jennifer Spurgeon-Summerfield; and four siblings.

Survivors include his children, Robert Hillhouse Holmes, III and wife Duyen, and Kitty Tutterow; grandchildren, Robert H. Holmes, IV and wife Andrea, Amy Louise Cruze and wife Christine, Mai Lee Olsen and husband Michael, Michelle Holmes, Nichole Schlais and husband Joseph, Heather Griffin and husband Shane, and Neal Spurgeon and wife Olga; granddaughter-in-law, Kerrie Summerfield; fourteen great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Neal Spurgeon, Robert Holmes, IV and Tommy Barker.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M., Monday, November 26, 2018, at Mulhearn Funeral Home in Monroe, LA.
