Funeral service for Mr. Robert F. Evans, Jr., 67 of Monroe, LA, will be held Saturday, December 31, 2011, at New Light Baptist Church with Rev. Lindle Stewart officiating. Interment will follow in New Light Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Monroe.
Mr. Evans passed away on December 27, 2011 in Monroe, LA. He retired from the US Army as a Sergeant First Class and was a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he received three Purple Hearts.
Survivors include his two brothers, Charles Evans and Mark Evans both of Monroe, LA; two sisters, Martha Scarborough and husband Ralph of Mobile, AL; and Margie White and husband Tom Givens; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 9:00AM until service time at New Light Baptist Church.
