Funeral services for Mr. Robert Charles Walters, 55, of Monroe, will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, December 28, 2009, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Dale Farley officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Walters passed away Friday, December 25, 2009, at LSU Medical Center in Monroe. He was a truck driver with Brookshire’s for 17 years, and loved reading, fishing, and telling jokes.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Allbritton Walters; two sons, Will Walters and wife Gaea, and Terry Walters and wife Aerin; three daughters, Jessica Walters, Jennifer Walters, and Hanna Walters; parents, Worth and Maxine Walters; one brother, Lanny Walters and wife Lois; and grandchildren, Simon, Lola, Lennox, and Lily Walters, and Avery Aiken.
Pallbearers will be Will Walters, Terry Walters, Mike Allbritton, Gene Jett, Eddie Earl, Rudy Eldridge, Huey Davenport, and Pat Woodard.
Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
