Funeral Services Celebrating the Life of Mr. Robert Caley Joyner, Jr., 87, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Community Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA with Rev. Danny McIlveene officiating. Interment will follow in the Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, LA under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
Mr. Joyner was born on November 12, 1930 to Robert Caley Joyner Sr. and Ethel Marie Newberry Joyner and passed away on July 2, 2018. He retired from Olinkraft as a Graphic Artist and served two years in the United States Navy. Mr. Joyner was a member of the J.C. Stewart lodge #460, Monroe Scottish Rite, Barak Shrine, Monroe York-Red Cross of Constantine, Eastern Star and Royal Order of Scotland. He loved to hunt, especially ducks and squirrels. He is preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Margaret Lambert.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Alice Joyner; sons, James Robert Joyner and wife, Debbie, and Michael Caley Joyner and wife, Debra; brothers, Charles Harry Joyner and wife, Sharon, and James Lamar “Jimmy” Joyner and wife, Virginia; five grandchildren; two step grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Ralph Owens, Glenn Jordan, Roy McDuffy, David Fletcher, John Jowers, Woody Bilyeu, Jerry Ford and Gary Smith. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Johnny Green Sunday School Class.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
