Robert C. "Bob" Sharbono

Funeral Services for Mr. Robert C. “Bob” Sharbono, 88, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, January 18, 2018, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe with Rev. Doyle Adams and Rev. Charles Best officiating. Interment will follow in Kilpatrick’s Serenity Gardens Cemetery.

Bob was born on January 16, 1929, and passed away on January 13, 2018. He was a member of Lone Cherry Baptist Church. Mr. Sharbono was retired from Missouri Pacific Railroad. After retiring from Missouri Pacific Railroad, he went to work for the West Ouachita Sewer District for 20 years. Mr. Sharbono loved hunting and was very active in wildlife conservation. He is preceded in death by his wife, Helen Frost Sharbono; brother, J.D. “Sonny Boy” Dear.

Survivors include his daughter, Kaye Elmore and husband Phillip; grandsons, Seth Elmore and wife Cristi, Samuel Elmore; great grandchildren, Eli and Jacob Elmore; nephews, Jim Dear and wife Carolyn, Tim Dear, Terry Dear and wife Tracey; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Nolan, John Nolan, David Frost, Justin Dear, Ethan Dear, and Jonathan Crenshaw.

Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Wednesday January 17, 2018, at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to Lone Cherry Baptist Church in Mangham, LA.

The family would like to thank the staff at West Monroe Guest House and Dr. Ron Hammett and his staff for the care of Mr. Sharbono.
