She was a retired secretary for Plumbers and Pipefitters Union Local 659. Rita was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mirdie McQueen. Survivors include her son, Alan Hancock and wife, Shannon; granddaughters, Avery and Riley Hancock; sister, Gwen Jones; nephews, Mitch Jones and wife, Karen, and James Jones and wife, Kristi; and cousin, Pat Screpitis and husband, Doyle.
