Funeral services for Ricky Wayne Pierce, 59, of West Monroe, will be at 10:00 A.M., Friday, November 9, 2018, at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in West Monroe, with Dr. Randy Burdeaux and JR Wells, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery.
Ricky was born March 26, 1959, and peacefully passed away November 5, 2018, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was the manager and operator of his family business: Double P Farm in Monroe, LA. He loved to hunt and fish, but his greatest joy was his family.
Ricky is preceded in death by his daughter, Shana Pierce; and sister, Beverly Pierce.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Gaye Arrant Pierce; son, Adam Wayne Arrant and wife Jonann; daughter, Kristin Pierce Hatten and husband Will; son, Ray Wesley Pierce; grandchildren, Karlee Hatten, Adler Arrant, Ford Hatten, Pierce Hatten and Ace Arrant ,who is due in March 2019; mother and father, Ray and Mary Pierce; mother and father-in-law, Harvey and Lecolian Arrant; his aunt and co-worker, Helen Courtney; brothers and sisters-in-law, Darrell Arrant and Denetta, Rocky Johnson and Kristie Arrant Johnson; and sister, Connie Pierce.
Pallbearers will be Bobby McNease, Bob Brown, Bobby O’Neal, Joe O’Neal, Steve Dark, James Gilreath, Kevin Welker, Wayne Johnson, Butch Cerniglia, and Jerry Price. Honorary Pallbearers will be OPHS Class of 1977.
Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Thursday, November 8, 2018, at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in West Monroe.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Aime Hospice nurses, Caitlyn & Melissa for their care of Ricky.
