Rickey "Chance's Mac Daddy" McFarlin

Funeral Service for Rickey “Chance’s Mac Daddy” McFarlin, 62, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 11:30 A.M., Monday, September 17, 2018, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA, with Rev. Jeff Luellen officiating. Interment will follow in Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe, LA.

Rickey was born March 23, 1956, in Delhi, LA, and passed away September 14, 2018, at his residence in West Monroe. He was the owner of McFarlin Heating and Air, a member of the Krewe of Janus and past King Janus XXII. Rickey enjoyed hunting and fishing, he loved his boat and riding his motorcycle. He loved spending time with his grandson, Chance and was proud to say “that’s my boy”.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mabry and Ina Grace McFarlin.

Survivors include his daughter, Cassie Wood and husband Chad; grandsons, Chance and Chandler Wood; lifelong companion, Demetria Peters; brothers, Allen “Mike” McFarlin and wife Teenie, Mitchell McFarlin and Mark Norman McFarlin; niece, Miranda McFarlin Wilson and husband Bubba; nephews, Anthony McFarlin and wife Ashley, and Matthew McFarlin and wife Anna; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Barry Chappell, Jake Feeback, Buddy Smitherman, Jeff Ferracci, Jeff Guerriero, Bubba Wilson, Steve Howard and Stoney Goodman.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Steve Sikes, Johnathan Sikes, Jody Sebren, J.R. Mayo, Bill Gulley, Wayland Durr, Buddy Davis and Ashley Wyant.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Sunday, September 16, 2018, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.
