Services for Richard Wayne Smith, 62 of Jonesboro will be 2:00PM Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Magnolia Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Magnolia Church Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home-Winnsboro.

Wayne was born on August 20, 1954 in Winnsboro and passed away on August 5, 2017 in Jonesboro, LA. He loved fishing, hunting, the mountains, and family. He was a police officer for many years and served in the United States Army. He loved his grandchildren and spending time with them. He loved to joke around. He loved his job and helping others.

He is preceded in death by his parents-Marvin and Clara Elizabeth Smith and brother-James Marvin Smith.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years-Teresa Avery Smith of Jonesboro, LA; children-Bradley Wayne Smith and wife Ellise of Winnsboro, Sheri Denise McMillan of Clearwater, FL, Lindsey Wilson and husband Billy of Dallas, TX, Deanna Michelle Terral and husband Michael of Hodge, LA, and step-daughter-Brandi Nugent and husband Casey of Calhoun, LA; grandchildren-Ann Marie Smith, Zoey Smith, Seth Smith, Peyton Smith, Michael Frye, Alexis Frye, and Mayson Terral; brothers-Shelby D. Smith and wife Diane of West Monroe and Larry Smith and wife Joan of West Monroe; and numerous family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Wesley Horton, Allen Smith, Michael Stewart, Trais Reed, Jackie Potts, and Aaron Blaylock.

Visitation will be 5:00 until 8:00PM Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at the Magnolia Baptist Church.
