Richard Todd Hunt

Funeral services for Mr. Richard “Todd” Hunt, 52, of Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, July 31, 2022, at New Hope Baptist Church in Monroe, LA, with Rev. Charles Headrick officiating. Todd was born on January 14, 1970, in West Monroe, LA and passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center. Visitation will be held at New Hope Baptist Church in Monroe, LA from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on July 31, 2022. Interment will take place in Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe, LA.

Todd was preceded in death by his father, James R. Hunt, Sr., grandparents, Bill and Doris Hayes; Maurine Nelms and Russell Hunt; sister-in-law, Kelli Hunt, aunt: Alma Hayes, and cousin: Ronnie Hayes.

He is survived by his mother, Anne Hunt, daughter, Amanda Hunt Wilson and husband Josh Wilson; grandchildren, Isabella G. Wilson and Daniel Wilson; two brothers, James Hunt, William R. Hunt and wife, Leaha, long-time devoted family friend, Denis Baker, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Mark Downing, Tyler Hunt, Michael Jones, Scott Robinson, Coltin Rocks, Warren Rocks, and Marty Smith.

Todd loved being outdoors and especially going fishing. If he was around water, he usually had a rod in his hand. But, if you knew Todd, you knew that his greatest passion in life was the love he had for his family. He will be incredibly missed by his loved ones and his loving spirit will continue to live on through his daughter, Amanda and his grandchildren, Isabella and Daniel.

The family wishes to thank the kind nurses, doctors, and staff of the intensive care unit at Glenwood Regional Medical Center. We sincerely appreciate the care you showed Todd and our family during this difficult time.
