Richard Thompson

Memorial Celebration of Life for Mr. Richard Thompson, 77, of West Monroe, LA, will be 3:00 PM Wednesday, December 22, 2021, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, with Rev. T.D. Boyd officiating.

Mr. Thompson was born March 31, 1944 and went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 17, 2021. In his earlier years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his boys. Mr. Thompson was an electrician and auctioneer by trade. He was a member of the West Monroe Moose Lodge #1732.

Mr. Thompson is preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Emma Thompson; wife, Juanita Thompson; and siblings, Robert, James, Cliff, Wilton and Gladys.

Survivors include his two sons, Scott Thompson and wife Darnell, and Tim Thompson and wife Jodi; six grandchildren, Braylyn Thompson, Carragen Thompson, Hayden Thompson, Dayton Thompson and wife Kathryn, Timothy Thompson and Asher Thompson; brother, Vernon Thompson and wife Mary; sister, Doris Takewell and husband Don; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Mr. Thompson’s grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2:00PM until 3:00 PM Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
