Funeral services for Mr. Reynolds Trippett Faulk, Jr., 91, of Monroe, LA will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, November 27, 2009, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe with Rev. J. Roddy Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Faulk passed away Monday, November 23, 2009. He is the 5th generation to farm the land bought by John T. Faulk in 1816. He was a lifelong Methodist. He was a member of L. Barkdull Faulk Post #13 American Legion, the Ouachita Parish Farm Bureau, the Ouachita Parish Cattleman’s Association, the Lotus Club, the Bayou Desiard Country Club, and a past member of the Lakeshore North Monroe Lions Club.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Annie Ruth Page and Fannie Lucille Munholland.
Survivors include his loving wife of over sixty years, Nell Davis Hayes Faulk; one son, Reynolds Trippett Faulk III and wife Jane; two daughters, Mary Gay Faulk Carter and husband Bruce and Julie Sue Faulk Verlander and husband David; grandchildren; Elizabeth Nell Faulk, Megan Anne Faulk Rugg and husband Benjamin, Laura Jane Faulk, Carol Hayes Faulk, Julie Irene Faulk, Tracy Leigh Cobb Mitchell and husband Robert, Bruce Dale Carter, Jr. and wife Hillary, Matthew Hayes Carter, Angela Nell Rebowe, Philip Wayne Rebowe, Jr., David Faulk Verlander, and Daniel Reed Verlander; and great grandson, Reynolds Thomason Carter.
Pallbearers will be Hayes Carter, Philip Rebowe, David Faulk Verlander, Daniel Verlander, Robert Mitchell, and Ben Rugg. Honorary pallbearer will be Bruce Carter, Jr.
Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM Friday, November 27, 2009, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Memorials may be made to the L. B. Faulk Post #13 American Legion, or to St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.
