Rev. Randy Karl Dowdy

Funeral Services Celebrating the Life of Rev. Randy Dowdy, 65, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, May 2, 2021, at the Lapine Assembly of God Church in West Monroe, LA, with Rev. Gene Benson and Rev. Pete Gilbert officiating. Interment will follow in the Lapine Assembly of God Church Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe. Visitation will be held from 1:30 P.M. until service time on Sunday at the church.

Rev. Dowdy was born January 8, 1956 and passed away April 27, 2021. He was a member of The Awakening Church. Rev. Dowdy was the Pastor of Lighthouse Assembly of God for 24 years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert E. Dowdy; mother, Ruby L. Dowdy; and nephews, Paul Bonner and Darren Bonner.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Nancy Dowdy; sons, Josh Dowdy, Kevin Dowdy, and Tim Dowdy and wife Felicia; grandchildren, Nolan Dowdy, Jacob Dowdy, Luke Dowdy, Garrett Dowdy, Kaylie Dowdy, and Seth Dowdy; the apple of his eye, his great granddaughter, Emilee Dowdy; special granddaughter, Annette Causey; brothers, Wayne Dowdy and wife Ruth, and Jerri Dowdy and wife Linda; sister, Bonnie Daughtery and husband Larry; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Tony Dowdy, Brady Dowdy, Mark Hopkins, Keith Hopkins, Shane White, and Jeremy White.
