Funeral Services for Rev. James D. Moss, Jr., 82, of West Monroe, LA will be 11:00 AM Friday, March 2, 2012 at Cypress Street Church of God in West Monroe with Rev. Dennis Anger officiating. Interment will be held at Harrell Cemetery in Cushing, OK.Rev. Moss was born March 15, 1929 in Abernathy, TX and died on February 29, 2012 in West Monroe, LA. Bro. Moss was a Church of God minister for over 55 years. He pastored several Church of God’s in Louisiana and one in Oklahoma. He also loved riding his horses, antiques and collecting pocket knives. He was such a blessing to his family and friends and lived a faithful life until Jesus called him home. Thank you to all his loving Doctors and caregivers. He was preceded in death by his parents, James D. Moss Sr. and Georgia Sears Moss; the mother of his children, his first wife, Gloria Moss and second wife, Maxine Brown Moss.Survivors include: daughter, DeAnn Bridges and husband Ronald; son, Rod Moss and wife Lori; grandchildren, Chad Bridges and wife Brooke, Ryan Bridges and wife Tatiane, Kelli Bridges Wallace and husband Trey, Trey Moss and wife Hayley and MaKenzi Moss; great-grandchildren, Dylan and Jacob Wallace and Brayden Bridges; sisters, Vernell Chesnut, Ladara Combs; and numerous nieces and nephews. Rev. Moss is also survived by his stepchildren, Beverly Brown and husband Benny, Brenda Martin and husband Kelley; step-grandchildren, Bo and Christina Brown, Amy Brown, and Misty and Hunter Martin; and four step-great-grandchildren.Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM Friday, March 2, 2012 at Cypress Street Church of God.Memorials may be made to the Louisiana Assembly of the Church of God in Pollock, LA.Online Registry/Condolences: www.mulhearnfuneralhome.com
