Funeral services celebrating the life of Mrs. Retta Roberts, 64, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, August 27, 2021, at The Pentecostals of the Twin Cities Church in West Monroe, LA, with Rev. Jason Ramsey and Rev. Jason Wilkes officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Calhoun, LA, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Thursday, August 26, 2021, at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe.
Retta Roberts was born November 23, 1956, in Winnfield, LA and passed away August 23, 2021, in Monroe, LA. She was retired from Mulhearn Protective Insurance Company. Retta loved being the boss, going camping, mowing the yard, sewing, cooking, and canning. When it came to Lifetime or Hallmark movies, there isn’t one that she hadn’t seen. Retta was a devoted Mother and Grammy, and she loved her grandchildren more than anything.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Roberts; her parents, Lavelle Underwood and Patty Jo Womack Underwood; brother, Jimmy Underwood; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Raymond and Bernice Roberts; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Greer and Annette Mulhearn.
Survivors include her two daughters, Brandy West and husband Jason, and Rachel Tullos and husband Brad; grandchildren, Abbey Roberts, Sophie West, Macey Tullos, Emmey Tullos, and Graham West; sisters, Mary Parker and Jeannie Horton and husband Jimmy; special nieces, Tonya Willhite and Sarah Moore; and numerous other nieces and nephews; special friend, Joe Coley and the only dog she’s ever loved, Prince; and sisters-in-law, Shirley Heath and husband Joe, Sue Cumpton and husband Bobby, and Kay Roberts Hembree.
Pallbearers will be Johnathan Willhite, Ryan Moore, Toben Kendrick, Cam Kendrick, Tommy Kendrick, and Jimmy Horton.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
