To know her was to love her. She was kind. She was giving. She trusted and loved with all her heart. She saw the good in everyone. She was a daughter, a sister, a mother, a teacher. She was an aunt, a grandmother and even a great grandmother too. She was a friend to all. Her kindness and compassion for animals was immense. From hummingbirds to horses and everything in between, they were all to be respected and cared for with a gentle hand. That’s how she was with people too. She was a good stewardess to her fellow man. No matter how many times her heart was broken, she forgave and continued to love unconditionally with all of her heart. She cared for others even if it was her that needed to be cared for.
What she was, was a miracle. She was a gift to the world and all who knew her. She is cherished by each and every one of us and our lives will never be the same.
Retha Lee Sutton is survived by her two daughters, Ashley Sutton, Anna Dunn and her Husband Richie Dunn; her grandchildren, Ashton and her husband Dalton Hamby, and Ayden Arat; her two sisters, Becky and her husband John Hayden, Diann and her husband Alan Hill; her brothers, Danny and his wife Judy Tull, and Reggie Ruffin and his wife; as well as her eight nieces and nephews, six great nieces and nephews.
Please join us in a celebration of her life at the East wing of North Monroe for food and fellowship following her memorial service.
