Rebecca Sue Wallace Lazenby

Funeral Services celebrating the life of Ms. Rebecca Sue Wallace Lazenby, 59, of West Monroe, LA, will be 11:00 AM Thursday, November 2, 2023, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe with Rev. Jeff Freeman officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Ms. Lazenby was born May 12, 1964, and passed away on October 29, 2023 due to a brief cancer battle. She was a devoted mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren; she was fondly referred to as “Nana”. Ms. Lazenby enjoyed taking trips to the beach, attending concerts, playing softball, being outdoors and cooking, especially her kids favorite- fried chicken. She also liked watching hummingbirds and butterflies, gardening, and tending to her plants. Although she was a “workaholic”, she loved spending time with her family the most.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Emmett Wallace and Selma Hale Wallace; and brother, Gary Wallace.

Survivors include her six children, Natalie McKnight, Ryan McKnight, Niki McKnight, Ashley Gosdin and husband Colby, Shelby Lazenby, Jeffery Lazenby Jr. and wife Valerie; 20 grandchildren, Madison, Garrett, Hunter, J.D. Alayah, Briana, Kamryn, Alexis, Bryson, Lizzy, Shooter, Rowen, Ava Jane, Bentley, Talon, Gracyn, Cash, Madden, Karson and Stadler; one great-grandson on the way, Carter Wallace; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many special friends.

Pallbearers will be Danyl Sonnier, Jonathan Caples, Jason Cato, John Battaglia, Hunter McManus, Cody Cowan, and Danny Phillips.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe.

Memorial donations are being accepted at Louisiana National Bank in her memory.
