Rebecca Jean Thiels

Funeral service for Mrs. Rebecca Jean Thiels, 67, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday, December 28, 2021, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Monroe with Lori Spangler officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00AM until service time at the funeral home on Tuesday.
Mrs. Thiels was born on November 15, 1954, in Alexandria, LA, and passed away on December 18, 2021, in Monroe. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Mrs. Thiels loved her family but especially liked her horses and working on the Family Farm. She enjoyed working on tractors and farm equipment and do whatever it took to keep the farm running. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Malcolm Thiels; two sons, James Malcolm Thiels and Michael Duane Thiels; and two brothers, Arthur Lee Lovell and Robert Lovell.
Survivors include her children, Jeremy Thiels (Marcie), Joseph “Joey” Shelby Thiels (Catherine), Jason Patrick Thiels, and Rita LeAnn Thiels; grandchildren, Kersten Lynn Thiels Strother (Caden), James Dale Thiels, Jenna Shelby Thiels, Josie Blaire Thiels, Anna Copeland, and Colton Thiels; sister, Linda Farr; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Pallbearers will be: Jeremy Thiels, Joey Thiels, Caden Strother, Neal Roberson, Blake Deron and Mixon Craft. Honorary Pallbearers are Derek Fife, Adam Shaver, and TJ Delaney.
