Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
Mr. Dickerson was born on November 2, 1953 and passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones on February 14, 2025.
Randall was born into a military family with his father, “Bob” being in the Air Force, which gave him the opportunity to live in many different cities around the United States and abroad from England to Michigan and many others. This wonderful gift to enjoy different cultures and places provided many stories about the trouble him and his brothers stirred up! He is now reunited with his mother and father in Heaven.
In 1985, he married his sweetheart, Cherrie and in June would have celebrated 40 cherished years together. They created a life full of love, laughs and joy as they watched their children, grandchildren, and great grandchild blossom.
He was a devoted brother, husband, father, and “Poppa”. He understood the importance of commitment in every role he played, including his dedication to the paper industry for 46 years and loyal employee to the paper mill for 27 years. He took great pride in his work and had a God given ability to be a great leader. Randall was the type of man respected by everyone; when he talked people listened and trusted them with their safety and lives. His display of wisdom, integrity, and experience will leave a permanent impact on the paper mill and will never be forgotten.
Not only did he give his all as an employee but also put his heart and soul into his role as father. He loved hunting and fishing with his sons and the time spent “hanging out” and watching football with his daughter. He cherished the time spent making memories, traveling with his family all over the country. There was nowhere too far to pull his fifth wheel! He did not think it would get better than fatherhood until his grandchildren arrived, then realized it was next level love. He was their biggest cheerleader and never missed the opportunity to spectate a game or attend a school event, but his favorite thing to give his grandchildren was the famous “Pop hug”.
Words cannot express the void that will be left in all the lives he impacted, each experiencing their loss in different ways, but each holding their own personal, treasured memories because he made sure to live intentionally, love big and hug often!
Randall is preceded in death by his parents, James Robert and Lois Lochala Dickerson.
Survivors include his wife, Cherrie Dickerson; daughter, Staci Boyett and husband, James; son, Colby Dickerson; son, Brady Dickerson and wife, Danielle; grandchildren, Noah Boyett and wife, Breanna Kinder Boyett, Cameron Bryant and husband, Hunter, Chloe Dickerson, Brooks Dickerson, Henry Dickerson, Navy Dickerson, and Silas Dickerson; great granddaughter, Eden Boyett; brothers, Steve Dickerson and wife, Mary Ann and David Dickerson and wife, Sheila.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
