Funeral Services for Ralph Sims, 75, of Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, April 9, 2016 in the Feazel Chapel at First Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA with Rev. Lamar Deloney officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, LA under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Monroe, LA.Mr. Sims was born January 28, 1941 and passed away April 6, 2016 in Monroe, LA surrounded by his family. Ralph was passionate about, dedicated to and proud of his family and especially his wife, Gail, who he adored. He retired after 41 years as a printing supervisor at Bancroft Bag. You could always count on Ralph to talk to you, make you laugh and you never had to wonder what he was thinking. He loved his family and was especially proud of his kids and grandkids. He was preceded in death by his father, John Steve Sims; mother, Clara Bell Sims; brothers, John, Robert, and Freddie Sims; sisters, Alva Younger and Mary Ella Blackiston; grandsons, Jeremiah and Isaiah Wheeler; and daughter-in-law, Janice Forrester Sims.Survivors include his wife, Wanda Gail Dupree Sims; children, Christie Sims Wheeler and husband David, Robin Sims Crockett, and Ralph “Rusty” Sims, Jr.; grandchildren, Brandon Sims, Justin Sims, Hannah Wheeler, Sommer Sims, Gabrielle Wheeler and Noah Wheeler; and great grandchildren, Cameron Pardue and Avery Ann Sims.Pallbearers will be Jason Dupree, Jeremy Rowton, TC Dupree, Jared Sandifer, Josh Dupree and John Kevin Dupree.
