Funeral services for Ralph Lamar Benefield, Sr., 76, of Monroe, will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, December 29, 2012, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Jim Ragdale and Rev. Mikey Cheshier officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Benefield passed away Monday, December 24, 2012, at St. Francis Medical Center.

Mr. Benefield was preceded in death by his parents and a great grandson.

Survivors include his wife Norma Benefield; sons, Lamar Benefield, Jr. and wife Toni, Raymond Benefield and wife Elizabeth, Karl Benefield and wife Sherry, Jeffery Benefield and wife Geshelia; daughters, Tammie Holden and husband Scott, Tiffany Benefield, and Crystal Benefield; thirteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren; three sisters, four brothers, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be sons and grandsons.

Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
